Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.

 The ritual, sacramental action of thanksgiving to God which constitutes the principal Christian liturgical celebration of and communion in the paschal mystery of Christ. 

By the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit.  

 The Sacrament of Marriage (or Holy Matrimony) is the intimate union and equal partnership of a man and a woman. 

 The Sacrament of Holy Orders is the continuation of Christ's priesthood, which He bestowed upon His Apostles; also referred to as "the sacrament of apostolic ministry."
